Mitzi Clayton, M.D. was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. She
attended Boston University and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of
Science in Biology. Dr. Clayton received her M.D. from Medical
University of the Americas in 2003 and completed Family Practice
Residency at the Medical College of Georgia/Satilla Regional Medical
Center Waycross, GA in June 2008. Dr. Clayton is a diplomat of the
American Board of Family Practice. Dr Clayton now resides in
Ellenwood, GA with her husband Ronell and daughter Harley. In her
free time she enjoys spending time with family, friends and her
daschunds.




Maya Acharya, PA-C was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland,
Canada. She completed high school, undergraduate and graduate
school here in Georgia. Maya received her Bachelors of Science in
Psychology in 2002 from Georgia State University. From 2003-2005,
Maya worked as a Research Assistant in an Obesity Research
Laboratory in the Department of Neuroscience at GSU. Following her
desire to practice medicine and have more patient interaction, Maya
left GSU in 2005 to attend PA school at South University in Savannah
where in 2008 she received her Masters in Physician Assistant
Studies. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family
and friends, traveling with her husband Tejas and puzzles.
Veronica Mills, PA-C
is a native of West Virginia. She graduated from Bluefield State
College in 1999 with an Associates of Science in Radiologic
Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science. After
graduating, she worked as a Radiologic Technologist for 8 years. Ms.
Mills earned her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
from Mountain State University in Beckley, West Virginia. She moved
to the Atlanta area upon graduating, where she resides with her
daughter, Ashley.
Lishan Bekele, M.D.
was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, however she has lived
most of her life in the US where she also did most of her schooling.
She received her bachelor’s degree at the University of St. Thomas
in Houston, TX and went on to attend medical school at Mayo Medical
School in Rochester, MN. She then completed her residency at Emory
University in 2005. Dr. Bekele is Board Certified in Family
Practice. She currently lives in Atlanta, GA with her family. In her
spare time, she enjoys traveling, doing mission work and spending
time with family and friends.
