We know that routine healthcare isn’t always convenient. Between long lunch meetings, chauffeuring kids to soccer practice, and tests at school, scheduling can become a hassle. That’s why Eagles Landing Family Practice believes in providing primary care at the convenience of urgent care, especially when it comes to annual physicals. We offer nine primary care clinic locations with extended hours and same-day appointments to accommodate routine and emergency medical needs.
The Affordable Care Act requires most commercial insurance plans to provide coverage for preventive care without co-pays, co-insurance or deductibles including annual physical exams, recommended immunizations, and age/risk appropriate screenings such as lab tests, mammograms and colonoscopies. A physical exam is essential to any routine doctor’s visit; however, there is no set formula for how a physical is conducted. Exams may be thorough or brief, depending on patient circumstances and health history. Regardless, our physicians always focus on hearing your concerns or questions.
A routine physical usually consists of examining your history, looking at vital signs and observing your general appearance. Depending on your history or prior conditions, tests may be done on your heart, lungs, head and neck, or abdomen. Additionally, your doctor may choose to run neurological, dermatological, extremities, GYN (where appropriate) and laboratory tests.
Sports physicals are also available at any of our primary care clinic locations.

What do I need to do to prepare for a physical?
Our team will ask for a list of all medications and a summary of your medical history. Additionally, you shouldn’t eat or drink anything for 8 hours prior to your appointment (water and black coffee are okay).
